Budget

The Board opened the public hearing on the budget, took public comment and voted to continue the hearing until the September meeting. Budget highlights discussed include:

  • No change in the total amount of O&M assessments for Fiscal Year 2018-2019;
  • The Board is evaluating a plan to return the remaining recreation-related funds collected in Fiscal Year 2016-2017. The funds would be returned to each property under the same assessment methodology in which they were assessed. This return of assessments may be accomplished via an off-set of the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 O&M Assessments; and
  • The Board asked staff to identify the funds for a traffic study previously approved at the cost of $8,500 to evaluate whether street parking is necessary near the Four Oaks roundabout.

Additionally, the Board began the process to assess the Southwood House parcel for O&M assessments for Fiscal Year 2018-2019. A public hearing on the District’s intent to levy O&M assessments on the Southwood House parcel is set for the September meeting.
