The City has received reports that Southwood residents are not satisfied with the recently replaced sections of sidewalks. The sidewalks were repaired with “Flexi-Pave,” a flexible pavement product which allows expansion of tree root growth – which is why most of the sidewalks have had to be replaced. Unfortunately, this material is not available in a gray color similar to the existing sidewalk color. City staff plans to paint the existing Flexi-Pave in a gray color to match the adjacent concrete while they continue to research other options.
